Yosemite: Memorial Day '09

Every year, we take a trip to Yosemite for Memorial Day. '07 had us sliding down a lichen-slicked water slide, having a campfire by waterfall, encountering bucks, does, snakes, and even a 650 pound, majestic blond bear (remember, you don't have to outrun the bear, you just have kick Cody in the knee and outrun him.) '08 had us along the edges of huge waterfalls, enjoying a large fire under the canopy of an endless conifer grove, walking through snowy fields with light flakes falling on us, and lots of salamanders. This year will prove to be equally compelling. If you are looking for a grand adventure over Memorial Day, come climax at our annual Yosemite trip. Welcome to Climaxing

Climaxing is a group of wilderness-loving folks that enjoy the great outdoors, a healthy dose of fun and free-wheeling tomfoolery. This blog is a hub to facilitate communication about new camping, backpacking and road trips and to collect our thoughts, memories and pictures in one place. This group is not affiliated with any religious instituion, scholastic endeavors, civic group or any other exclusive crowd. Our singluar goal: we are looking to peak. The only requirements are that you have to be fun and above average good-looking. This difficulty levels of the trips vary. For the most part, we plan backpacking trips without any degree of real climbing skills required, so everyone can participate. Our trips are as social as they are natural.
